Naval welding training

Naval welding training

Introduction

As part of a partnership between Tunisia and Italy to encourage the regular mobility of workers, 20 young Tunisians will benefit from a 3-month intensive training course, focusing on specialization in naval welding. Prior to their departure, candidates will receive comprehensive training, including linguistic, professional and civic components. At the end of this course, which combines theory and practice, successful candidates will be accompanied towards professional integration, either directly or through collaborations with major companies in the Fincantieri network in Italy.

Initiative partners

The Team Academy Professional Training Center, in partnership with Fincantieri, collaborates with Associazione Centro ELIS and Orienta , responsible for the implementation of the initiative, as well as the Cluster Maritime Tunisien and the Groupement Professionnel National des Industries Nautiques of CONECT, as Tunisian partners, playing a key role in the implementation of the initiative and the promotion of the nautical industry in Tunisia.

Between La Goulette (Tunis) and Bizerte

Admission conditions

Criteria & profiles sought:

Age from 18 to 35

Place of residence: Greater Tunis

hold a qualification recognized by the French Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, corresponding to a CAP (certificat d'aptitude professionnelle), BTP (brevet de technicien professionnel) or BTS (brevet de technicien supérieur) diploma in welding.

Willingness to travel to Bizerte (practical course)

Willingness and availability to travel to several sites both in Italy and abroad

Possession of one or more of the skills listed above is an asset:

Previous experience in a shipyard, preferably in the naval sector (factory)

Basic knowledge of the Italian language

Driver's license

Have family or acquaintances living in Italy

Be registered with one of ANETI's employment offices

Deadline for submission is: December 16, 2024

Start-up scheduled for January 2025

NB:

Selected candidates will be required to provide a certificate of good health confirming their fitness to work on shipyards.
